BMW ActiveHybrid X6 coverage continues with the first marketing video posted by BMW-web.tv. We’ve seen yesterday several videos with the new 7 Hybrid and we were anxious to finally see some footage of what journalists call “the fastest hybrid vehicle in the world”.

Priced at 102,900 euros in Germany, the two-mode X6 Hybrid is powered by a combination of a V8 petrol engine and an electric drive. The base V8 twin-turbo engine produces 407 horsepower and the two electric motors output 91 hp and 86 hp, respectively, with peak torque values of 192 lb-ft and 206 lb-ft.

We’ve being spoiled recently by all these German tuners, it seems like every week there is a new package or bodykit available for some of the current BMW models and there was no surprise today, when the famous German tuner Harge announced a new aero kit for the BMW X5.

The 2009 Hartge BMW X5 E70 body kit includes a new front spoiler, a rear skirt, left and right side sills and a stainless steel rear silencer with oval tail pipes. Along with this aero kit, Hartge also offers a sport suspension kit and a new set of multi-spoke wheels.

The now famous BMW/MINI rumormill is buzzing with word that a  MINI Performance Crossover for the enthusiasts crowd is being considered for development. While we’re still waiting for the official launch of the “regular” Crossover, MINI continues to plan an extension of their current line-up by introducing vehicles that would target a new demographic.

We’ve already learned that a MINI Speedster and a Progressive Activity MINI - Spacebox- are being developed with a delivery date set in the next two years. With so many new models launching in the near future, one cannot stop to wonder if MINI is overreaching and expanding into new areas that could diminish the brand and upset the crowds.

BMW North America has just published the press release on the 2010 BMW ActiveHybrid X6. Along with the very detailed information on the first ActiveHybrid vehicle, plenty of photos have been uploaded as well.

The embargo was broken last night by an UK magazine and several publications posted some low-resolution photos. We decided to hold off and give you the high-quality photos and all the information regarding the X6 Hybrid.
